.DISCUSSION...
A ridge of surface high pressure will push eastward across the
Great Lakes region today, maintaining a low-level northeasterly
flow in the vicinity of the prescribed burn site. Sunny skies and
dry conditions are expected throughout the day, and as air
temperatures rise into the mid-upper 60s this afternoon, RH values
will fall to between 28-32% between 1-7 pm CDT. Transport winds
will remain from the east-northeast at 10-15 mph today, providing
smoke plume dispersion to the west-southwest as mixing heights
heights rise to between 4350-4650 ft this afternoon. Dry
conditions and light/variable to light easterly flow will continue
tonight, with only a very low chance for patchy fog development
after Midnight.
