The following forecasts are for rivers in Southwest Lower Michigan...

For the Grand River At Jackson... the latest stage was 13.0 feet at 8
PM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The river has fallen 0.1
feet in the past 24 hours.  Flood stage is 14.0 feet.  At 13.0
feet... River is bankfull. River begins to flow into low lying
areas..

For the Sycamore Creek At Holt... the latest stage was 6.2 feet at 9
PM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.    Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
At 6.0 feet... Flooding begins in low lying areas along the creek and
at the Lansing Municipal Golf Course and Scott Woods Park..

For the Thornapple River Above Hastings... the latest stage was 5.8
feet at 8 PM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.   Flood stage is
7.0 feet.  At 5.0 feet... River is bankfull. Expect minor flooding of
low lying areas and farmland adjacent to the river..

For the Kalamazoo River At Marshall... the latest stage was 5.9 feet
at 9 PM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The river has fallen
0.2 feet in the past 24 hours.  Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

For the Kalamazoo River At Comstock... the latest stage was 7.9 feet
at 8 PM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.   Flood stage is 9.0
feet.  At 8.0 feet... Expect minor flooding in park in Comstock..

For the Kalamazoo River Near New Richmond... the latest stage was
15.8 feet at 8 PM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum
stage forecasted is 15.8 feet after midnight tonight.  Flood stage is
17.0 feet.  At 15.0 feet... River is bankfull and begins to spill
over into large swampy areas along the river. Boardwalk along the
river would become flooded..

For the St Joseph River At Burlington... the latest stage was 6.2
feet at 8 PM Saturday.   No flooding is forecast.  The maximum stage
forecasted is 6.2 feet after midnight tonight.  Flood stage is 6.5
feet.  At 6.0 feet... River is bankfull, minor overflow into low
lying wooded areas along the river begins..

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
