The powerful winter storm that dropped 10 to 16 inches of snow over
much of southern Minnesota Saturday will gradually exit to the east
of Minnesota later today. Accumulating snow will continue to be a
threat eastern and southern portions of the state through this
evening.

Noticeably colder air will remain in place through midweek with
another storm system moving the central plains toward the Ohio
Valley Thursday. This will spread more rain and accumulating snow to
the region Wednesday. A warming trend is expected by next
weekend.
