At 526 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly east of
highway 69 in Oklahoma and in northwest Arkansas. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Latimer county in Oklahoma and
Carroll and Madison counties in Arkansas. Movement was to the east
at around 20 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was
around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of four to five
inches. Intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa area
forecast for late this afternoon and early this evening, a chance of
showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and temperatures 67 to
76 degrees along with north winds 5 to 10 mph.
