Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
409 AM EDT Mon May 6 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Drying trend Monday, with any leftover showers exiting the south
coast later this morning, followed by breaks of sunshine this
afternoon. This heating, with temperatures climbing into the 70s,
may result in isolated or widely scattered afternoon and evening
showers redeveloping. An isolated thunderstorm is possible.

Minimum relative humidity Monday afternoon will range from
60-70%, except 75 to 85 percent along and near the coastline.

.OUTLOOK...Tuesday through Friday...

High pressure brings dry and warm conditions Tuesday. Then a
stalled frontal boundary sets up over southern New England
Wednesday through Friday, resulting in rain at times, although
there will be dry periods too. Cooler temperatures and onshore
winds as well.
