Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...Light to moderate east to southeast winds and
moderate seas prevail through Saturday night. A cold front
arrives Sunday with moderate to fresh northeast winds. Marine
showers and thunderstorms will be possible this weekend, mainly
late Saturday into Monday, which could lead to locally higher
winds and seas. Small Craft Advisories may be needed for all or
portions of the lower Texas coastal waters Sunday through Monday.

5 to 10 knots after midnight. A moderate chop on the bay becoming
light chop after midnight. A slight chance of showers in the
evening. A slight chance of thunderstorms. A chance of showers

.SUNDAY...North winds 15 to 20 knots increasing to 20 to 25 knots
with gusts up to 30 knots in the afternoon. Choppy on the bay
