This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

Scattered thunderstorms are expected mainly across the northern
half of Iowa this morning. Main concern would be from heavy
rainfall and localized flash flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast for Thursday Night
in the northwest, and again on Friday area wide during the
afternoon and evening hours. Much of the holiday weekend will be
dry, but there will be sporadic, brief thunderstorm chances then
as well. A few storms may be strong, but the primary threat would
be locally heavy rain with any of these storms.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters will generally not be needed through the weekend, but a
few brief activations cannot be ruled out.
