This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for much of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Thunderstorms are likely tonight, mainly across northern Iowa.
Locally heavy rains are possible and a few storms may briefly
reach strong to severe limits with large hail and damaging wind.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast north Wednesday, Thursday
Night northwest, and also Friday area wide during the late
afternoon and evening hours. Much of the holiday weekend will be
dry, but there will be sporadic, brief thunderstorm chances then
as well. A few storms may be strong, but the primary threat would
be locally heavy rain with any of these storms.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters will generally not be needed through the weekend, but a
few brief activations cannot be ruled out.
