Non-severe thunderstorms are possible overnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Severe thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and evening
with an enhanced risk of severe thunderstorms across the area.
The main threats will be large hail and damaging winds although
isolated tornadoes are possible, especially in the southwest.

Strong and gusty winds are possible Saturday.

Spotter activation is likely Friday into Friday evening.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Non-severe thunderstorms are possible tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and
evening. The main threat will be large hail. Damaging winds will
also be possible late in the afternoon and into the evening.

Some snow accumulations will be possible Saturday into Saturday
night. This may lead to visibility restrictions to below one mile,
slick roads and difficult travel at times.

Spotter activation may be needed Friday into Friday evening.

northern Iowa.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the area for possible
blizzard conditions Saturday into Saturday night. Please refer to
the National Weather Service website at weather.gov/desmoines for
further details.

Strong thunderstorms will be possible Friday into Friday night.
Marginally severe hail and gusty winds will be possible with the
storm potential.
