...NOAA WEATHER RADIO KXI-98 AT MONTEZUMA IS OFF THE AIR...

The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter KXI-62 at Montezuma Iowa is off
the air due to a communications failure. Technicians have been
notified but there is no estimated restore time.

The Montezuma NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts on Channel 3...or a
frequency of 162.450 MHz...and services the following counteis in
Iowa...Jasper...Keokuk...Mahaska...Marion...Poweshiek...and Tama.

Neighboring transmitters that service some of these counties include
WXL-57 at Des Moines broadcasting on Channel 7 or 162.550 MHz...KXI-
98 at Marshalltown broadcasting on Channel 5 or 162.500 MHz...WXL-
61 at Cedar Rapids broadcastings on Channel 4 or 162.475 MHz...WXN-
85 at Fairfield broadcasting on Channel 1 or 162.400 MHz...and WNG-
730 at Ottumea broadcasting on Channel 5 or 162.500 MHz.
