FOR SOUTHWESTERN MADISON...NORTHEASTERN UNION AND NORTHWESTERN CLARKE
COUNTIES...
At 612 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over East Peru, or
11 miles south of Winterset, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported quarter sized hail in
Lorimor.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Murray, Lorimor, Thayer, and Murray Roadside Rest Area.
