...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
  expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Missouri, including the
  following counties, Bates, Cass, Henry and Johnson.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 800 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Between
    0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Warrensburg, Harrisonville, Windsor, Knob Noster, Holden,
    Garden City, Whiteman Air Force Base, Archie, Drexel, Leeton,
    Urich, Calhoun, Creighton, Chilhowee, East Lynne, Whiteman
    Afb, Centerview, Gunn City, Blairstown and Quick City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
