...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN PICKENS AND
NORTHEASTERN OCONEE COUNTIES THROUGH 815 PM EDT...

At 728 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13
miles southwest of Brevard, or near Gorges State Park, moving
southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Devils Fork State Park, Table Rock State Park, Jocassee Gorges, Lake
Jocassee, Keowee Toxaway State Park, Lake Keowee, Sunset, Sassafras
Mountain, Rocky Bottom, and Pumpkintown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near Lake Jocassee, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
