...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN ELK...EAST CENTRAL
COWLEY...NORTHWESTERN CHAUTAUQUA AND SOUTH CENTRAL GREENWOOD COUNTIES
THROUGH 845 PM CDT...

At 808 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Grenola, or 14 miles southwest of Howard, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Howard, Moline, Severy, Grenola, Fall River Lake, Piedmont, and Fall
River State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for south central
and southeastern Kansas.
