...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN TENSAS PARISH IN
NORTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AND SOUTHWESTERN WARREN COUNTIES THROUGH 930
PM CDT...

At 900 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Newellton, or 13 miles northwest of St. Joseph, moving northeast at
40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Newellton and Somerset around 905 PM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for
northeastern Louisiana...and southwestern and west central
Mississippi.
