...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL ST.
HELENA AND NORTHERN TANGIPAHOA PARISHES THROUGH 515 PM CDT
...

At 445 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Greensburg, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Greensburg, Amite, Amite City, Kentwood, Roseland, Wilmer, and
Tangipahoa.

This includes Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 48 and
61.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in New Orleans.
