Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.4 inch low pressure over far northern Ontario
will weaken to 29.5 inches as it tracks to James Bay by mid-morning
on Monday. An associated 29.6 inch trough will move across Lake
Superior during this afternoon and tonight. In its wake, 30.3 inch
high pressure over Hudson Bay will extend a 29.9 inch ridge into the
Northern Plains and Upper Mississippi Valley on Monday. This ridge
will build to 30.0 inches as it drifts across Lake Superior during
Tuesday and Wednesday and then moves to Quebec and the Lower
Great Lakes on Thursday. Meanwhile, a 29.7 inch trough emerging
over the western Plains on Tuesday will weaken to 29.8 inches as
it shifts to the Upper Mississippi Valley during Wednesday night
and Thursday.
