...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL HYDE...EAST CENTRAL
BEAUFORT AND NORTHEASTERN PAMLICO COUNTIES THROUGH 900 PM EDT...

At 827 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Scranton, or 29 miles southeast of Plymouth, moving southeast at 30
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sladesville, Ransomville, Gull Rock, Swindell Fork, Scranton,
Fairfield, New Holland, Pamlico Beach, Nebraska, Leechville,
Winsteadville, Rose Bay, Sidney Crossroads, Lake Landing, Middletown,
Lake Mattamuskeet, Swan Quarter Ferry Terminal, and Sydney
Crossroads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
eastern North Carolina.
