.Discussion...
High pressure over the western Atlantic will continue to
influence the state of Florida through late week. Fire sensitive
conditions are expected to increase Thursday before near red flag
conditions Friday with increasing southwest winds ahead of a cold
front over north Florida. Southwest winds will back south to
southeast Wednesday near the coast at 10-15mph. Winds will then
increase from the south-southwest at 10-15mph Thursday and back
slightly onshore along the coast from the southeast into the
afternoon. Increasing west to southwest winds at 15-20mph into
Friday afternoon with gusts up to 30mph, as well as a High
Significant Fire Potential.
Minimum RH values are expected to drop into the mid 30s to low
40s Wednesday afternoon across the interior well west of I-95,
then the low to mid 30s Thursday, and the low to mid 30s across
the interior south of Orlando Friday. Afternoon highs are forecast
to reach the upper 80s to low 90s along the coast and the mid 90s
across the interior Wednesday with slightly warmer temperatures
Thursday under mostly sunny to partly sunny skies. Highs in the
low to upper 90s are forecast Friday with mostly sunny to partly
sunny skies. Heat index values are expected to reach the mid 90s
to low 100s. Dispersion values will be Very Good Wednesday and
Excellent Thursday.
Fog potential and other remarks..Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
