height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR CALIFORNIA WATERS...A weakening cold front will
dissipate this afternoon across the central California coast.
High pressure will persist to the W of the area through tonight.
A coastal low pressure trough will develop and slowly strengthen
today through early Wed, then will slowly weaken Wed night. A
weakening low pressure area will pass N of the waters tonight and
Tue. A high pressure ridge will move E over the northern waters
Wed, and then remain over the N waters Wed night into Fri night.
A low pressure will move SE towards the northern California coast
on Sat. Please be advised that the USCG remote communications
facility at Cambria is experiencing technical difficulties.
Technicians are aware of the problem. We apologize for any
