* WHAT...Snow. Snow accumulations 2 to 6 inches for areas above 5000
feet and up to 2 inches below 5000 feet. Locally higher totals of
6 to 12 inches are possible for areas near Lassen Park, Lake
Davis, Plumas-Eureka State Park, the Lakes Basin, and Yuba Pass.
Winds gusting as high as 40 to 50 mph.
* WHERE...Lassen-Eastern Plumas-Eastern Sierra Counties.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM PDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. Gusty winds
could bring down tree branches and impact travel for high profile
vehicles.

* WHAT...Snow. Snow accumulations between 3 and 8 inches for
communities around Lake Tahoe and between 7 and 14 inches above
7000 feet. Locally higher totals near 18 inches are possible along
the Sierra Crest from west of Lake Tahoe to Carson Pass and
Ebbetts Pass. Winds gusting as high as 35 to 45 mph in the lower
elevations with gusts of 60 to 80 mph over ridge lines.
* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM PDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Friday evening commute. Strong winds could cause
damage to trees and power lines, and impact recreation.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A 3 to 6 hour period of snowfall rates of 1
to 2 inches per hour are likely Friday evening into early Saturday
morning.

along Highway 395 and between 7 and 14 inches above 7000 feet.
Locally higher totals near 18 inches are possible along the Sierra
Crest between Sonora Pass and Tioga Pass. Winds gusting as high as
50 mph in the lower elevations with 70 to 90 mph gusts over
ridgelines.
* WHERE...Mono County.
* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 11 AM PDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Friday evening commute. Strong winds could cause
