...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT /1 PM CDT/ THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...Walton, Bay, Gulf, and Franklin County Beaches.

* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT /1 PM CDT/ this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Surf heights are expected to fall below 2
  feet later this afternoon, reducing the rip current risk to
  moderate.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
