769 FZUS52 KTAE 091624 SRFTAE Surf Zone Forecast National Weather Service Tallahassee FL 1224 PM EDT Thu May 9 2024 .THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK... High risk of rip currents will continue at all area beaches. Onshore south to southwesterly winds of 15 to 20 mph will drive surf heights of 2 to 3 feet and continuing the dangerous rip current risk for the next few days. Several rounds of severe weather are possible along the coast and Gulf waters through Friday. The first round this afternoon and evening and the second round overnight into Friday afternoon. All modes of severe weather are possible. If severe weather warnings are issued, seek sturdy shelter away from the beach and open areas.
