The National Weather Service in Ruskin has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 NM...
  Tampa Bay waters...
  Waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 to 60 NM...

* Until 145 PM EDT.

* At 100 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 6 nm northeast
  of Howard Frankland Bridge to 13 nm west of Longboat Pass, moving
  east at 35 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats, damage
           vessels, and create suddenly higher waves. Make sure all
           on board are in a secure location and wearing life
           jackets. Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots,
           suddenly higher waves, frequent lightning, and heavy
           downpours. Make sure all on board are wearing life
           jackets.

* Locations impacted include...
  Terra Ceia Bay, Manatee Nearshore Reef, Old Tampa Bay, Howard
  Frankland Bridge, Longboat Key, Cockroach Bay, Anna Maria Island,
  Pass-A-Grille Channel, Southwest Channel, Port Manatee Reef, Tampa
  Bay, Manatee 1 Mile Reef, Hillsborough Bay, Manatee 3 Mile South
  Reef, Sarasota Bay Hart Reef, Longboat Pass, Manatee 3 Mile North
  Reef, Manatee 7 Mile South Reef, Gandy Bridge, and Egmont Key.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 PM EDT for west central
Florida...and the adjacent coastal waters.

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.
