showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in northwest
Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma south of I44. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Sequoyah and Adair counties in
Oklahoma and Washington county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in
the Fort Smith and Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville areas.
Movement was to the northeast at greater than 40 mph. The average
amount where it rained last hour was around one quarter of an inch
with maximum amounts of an inch to an inch and a half. Coverage and
intensity decreased during the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast
for late this morning and early this afternoon, mostly cloudy, a
chance of showers and thunderstorms and some thunderstorms may be
severe.
