FOR THE WINTER SEASON /DEC JAN FEB/ THE GRAND FORKS INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT HAD BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND ABOVE NORMAL
PRECIPITATION.

THE GRAND FORKS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AVERAGED 4.9 DEGREES WHICH WAS
5.1 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. THIS MAKES THE SEASON THE EIGHTH COLDEST
WINTER SEASON BEHIND THE 1978/1979 WINTER SEASON WHICH AVERAGED -2.5
DEGREES.

TOTAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE SEASON TOTALED 2.20 INCHES WHICH WAS
0.52 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE WINTER SEASON
IS 1.68 INCHES. RECORD PRECIPITATION FOR THE SEASON IS 3.78 INCHES
WHICH WAS SET BACK IN THE 1988/1989 SEASON.

SNOWFALL FOR THE FALL SEASON WAS MUCH ABOVE NORMAL WITH A TOTAL OF
36.7 INCHES. NORMAL SNOW IS 28.0 INCHES WHICH IS 8.7 INCHES ABOVE
NORMAL.
