.THE 2019 SPRING SEASON WAS COOLER THAN NORMAL WITH BELOW NORMAL
PRECIPITATION AT INTERNATIONAL FALLS MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE SPRING SEASON WAS 35.6 DEGREES WHICH
WAS 2.6 DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 38.2 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST
TEMPERATURE FOR THE SPRING WAS 79 DEGREES ON MAY 29TH. THE LOWEST
TEMPERATURE FOR THE SPRING WAS -26 DEGREES ON MARCH 7TH. NO MONTHLY
TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE BROKEN THIS SPRING.

THE SPRING OF 2019 WAS BELOW NORMAL FOR PRECIPITATION WITH A TOTAL
OF 4.98 INCHES RECORDED FOR THE SEASON. THIS WAS 0.36 INCHES BELOW
THE NORMAL OF 5.34 INCHES. THE GREATEST DAILY PRECIPITATION OCCURRED
ON MAY 24TH WHEN 0.91 INCHES WAS RECORDED. AT LEAST 0.01 INCHES OF
PRECIPITATION FELL ON 30 DAYS. AT LEAST 0.10 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION
FELL ON 14 DAYS. AT LEAST 0.50 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL ON 2
DAYS. NO MONTHLY PRECIPITATION RECORDS WERE BROKEN THIS SPRING.

THE SPRING OF 2019 WAS ABOVE NORMAL FOR SNOWFALL WITH A TOTAL OF
16.3 INCHES OF SNOW WHICH IS 2.1 INCHES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 14.2
INCHES. THE GREATEST DAILY SNOWFALL OCCURRED ON APRIL 12TH WHERE 5.1
INCHES OF SNOW WAS RECORDED. NO MONTHLY SNOWFALL RECORDS WERE BROKEN
THIS SPRING. HOWEVER, MAY WAS THE 9TH SNOWIEST IN STATION HISTORY.

THE AVERAGE WIND SPEED FOR THE SPRING WAS 7.4 MPH. THE HIGHEST
SUSTAINED WIND OCCURRED ON MARCH 14TH WITH A SPEED OF 30 MPH OUT OF
THE NORTH NORTHWEST. THE HIGHEST PEAK WIND GUST OCCURRED ON MAR 14TH
WITH A SPEED OF 40 MPH OUT OF THE NORTH NORTHWEST.

THERE WERE 2687 HEATING DEGREE DAYS FOR THE SPRING WHICH WAS 213
ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 2474. THERE WERE 0 COOLING DEGREE DAYS FOR THE
SPRING WHICH WAS 9 BELOW THE NORMAL OF 9.

THE OUTLOOK FOR SUMMER...NORMAL HIGHS START IN THE LOW 70S IN EARLY
JUNE AND PEAK TO THE UPPER 70S DURING JULY. BY THE END OF AUGUST
NORMAL HIGHS COOL TO THE LOW 70S. NORMAL LOWS START IN THE MID 40S
AND WARM TO THE LOW 50S BY LATE JUNE. BY THE END OF AUGUST NORMAL
LOWS COOL TO THE UPPER 40S. NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE SUMMER IS
10.43 INCHES. THE LATEST CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER OUTLOOK
INDICATES THAT THERE IS NO CLEAR INDICATION FOR ABOVE OR BELOW
PRECIPITATION AND ODDS ARE TILTED TOWARD BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES.
