for the following rivers in Illinois...

  Illinois River at Morris affecting Grundy County
  Illinois River at Ottawa affecting La Salle County

...Forecast flooding Changed from Minor to Moderate severity for the
following rivers in Illinois...

  Illinois River at La Salle affecting Bureau...La Salle and Putnam
  Counties

The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well
as forecast precipitation 24-48 hours into the future.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Illinois River at Morris, or from Kankakee River outlet at
  Channahon downstream to Heritage Harbor east of Ottawa.
* from Saturday afternoon to Monday morning.
* At 1045 AM Friday the stage was 12.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Saturday afternoon and
  continue to rise to near 17.0 feet by Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Secondary roads near Morris flood. Illini
  Park near Marseilles floods.

  The Illinois River at Ottawa, or from Heritage Harbor east of
  Ottawa downstream to Starved Rock Lock and Dam.
* from Saturday morning to Tuesday evening.
* At  430 PM Thursday the stage was 462.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 463.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Saturday morning and continue
  to rise to near 465.0 feet by Sunday evening.
* Impact...At 462.5 feet...Roadway entrance to Allen Park threatened
  in Ottawa. Allen Park west boat ramp inundated in Ottawa.

downstream to confluence with Big Bureau Creek.

* At 1045 AM Friday the stage was 25.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 27.5 feet by
  early Monday morning.
* Impact...At 28.5 feet...Water Street is threatened in Peru.
