FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
537 AM EDT Wed Apr 25 2018

...Cooler and drier today...

.DISCUSSION: After the recent warm and dry conditions, expect
a cool down today. Temperatures will stay in the 40s
near Lake Superior and reach the 50s inland. Minimum RH values
will still drop into the 20 to 30 percent range inland toward the
Wisconsin border. Another cold front will move toward Upper
Michigan on Thursday. Expect a warmer and drier day ahead of the
front with temperatures into the upper 50s and lower 60s and min
RH as low as 30 percent. The main issue with the cold front on
Thu will be shifting winds from southwest to north with gusts late
day to 25 mph near Lake Superior. Light rain will change to snow
as the front moves through Thu night. More cool weather is
expected Fri and Sat behind the front. Another round of light rain
or snow is also possible Friday, but then the weather becomes
much warmer and drier by early next week.
