Daily River And Lake Summary
National Weather Service Columbia SC
1043 AM EDT Mon Apr 23 2018

...Moderate to heavy rain Mon-Tue may produce flooding in the region...

A deep, slow-moving low pressure system will produce rainfall across the
region through late Tuesday. The bulk of the rain should occur Monday
into early Tuesday morning with lingering showers ending Tuesday night.
Forecast 2-day precipitation is expected to be over 3 inches in the
Piedmont and Upstate, 1-2 inches in the CSRA and Midlands and slightly
over 2 inches along the Coastal Plain. Heaviest rains should fall in the
headwaters of the Savannah, Enoree, Wateree, Broad, Saluda and Congaree
Rivers, where minor to moderate flooding is expected. Other main-stem
rivers such as the Wateree, Pee Dee and Edisto will see significant rises
approaching action stage but are expected to crest below flood at this
time. Finally, there will be smaller-scale flooding issues Monday into
Tuesday in smaller creeks, low-lying urban areas and on some roadways.
