...CAUTIOUS TRAVEL IS ADVISED THIS MORNING FOR ICING OF
ROADWAYS...

WEATHER...

 * Freezing rain and freezing drizzle will continue to impact
   areas of southeast Michigan north of the I-96 corridor through
   much of the morning hours. Sleet may be mixed in at times as
   well. Additional ice accumulations ranging from a tenth to
   three tenths of an inch will be possible, with the highest
   totals north of the I-69 corridor. Additional ice accumulations
   near the Tri-Cities may reach four tenths of an inch.

 * Northeast winds around 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph at
   times.

 * Air temperatures will range between 26 and 32 degrees.
   Temperatures are expected to warm above freezing from south to
   north late this morning and continuing into the early
   afternoon.

IMPACTS...

 * Icing may lead to slippery roads particularly on bridges, exit
   ramps and overpasses. Travel will be extremely hazardous to
   impossible at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * Freezing rain will lead to ice accumulation on untreated
   surfaces. Motorists are discouraged from traveling and if
   traveling is absolutely necessary, are urged to use extra caution
   and account for variable driving conditions by slowing down
   and allowing extra time.

ROADWAYS...

WEATHER...

 * Patchy freezing rain and freezing drizzle will continue to
   impact areas of southeast Michigan south of the I-96 corridor
   through much of the morning hours. Sleet may be mixed in at
   times as well. Additional ice accumulations up to a tenth of an
   inch are possible, with the highest totals closer to the I-96
   corridor. Freezing rain and freezing drizzle will transition to
   rain as the morning progresses as surface temperatures continue
   to warm above freezing from south to north.

 * Northeast winds around 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph at
   times.

 * Air temperatures will range between 30 and 34 degrees.
   Temperatures will continue to warm above freezing as the
   morning progresses.

IMPACTS...

 * Light icing may lead to slippery roads particularly on bridges,
   exit ramps and overpasses. Expect hazardous travel conditions.
