...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 313 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a
line extending from near Detroit to Carleton. Movement was northeast
at 25 mph.

These storms will produce locally heavy rainfall and possibly wind
gusts near 30 mph.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Detroit around 320 PM EDT.
  Warren around 330 PM EDT.
  St. Clair Shores, Romulus, Trenton, Grosse Ile and Clinton around
  350 PM EDT.
  Taylor and Mount Clemens around 400 PM EDT.
  Wyandotte and Greenfield Village around 405 PM EDT.
  Dearborn around 415 PM EDT.
  New Baltimore and Downtown Detroit around 425 PM EDT.
  Grosse Pointe around 430 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Newport, Melvindale,
Gibraltar, Roseville, New Boston, Stony Point, Rockwood, Harper
Woods, Ecorse and Center Line.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Locally torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and
may lead to localized flooding in low lying or poorly drained areas.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
