...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 441 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong
thunderstorms centered near Canton, moving northeast at 20 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with some of these
storms.

This strong thunderstorm will be near...
  Northville around 455 PM EDT.
  Novi around 510 PM EDT.
  Livonia around 515 PM EDT.
  Southfield around 535 PM EDT.
  Birmingham and Detroit Zoo around 540 PM EDT.
  Royal Oak around 545 PM EDT.
  Warren around 550 PM EDT.
  Troy around 555 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this storm include Franklin, Keego
Harbor, Melvindale, Gibraltar, Waterford, Shelby Township, Ray
Center, Utica, Auburn Hills and Lake Angelus.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
lead to localized flooding in low lying and poorly drained areas.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
