Hydrologic Statement

...Above bankfull but below flood stage levels were observed along
the Little Wolf River...Menominee River...Oconto River...Upper Wolf
River...Wisconsin River...Wolf River...Yellow River...

For the Wolf River near Shiocton
* The latest stage was 9.1 feet.
* Impacts at 13.0 feet. Floodwaters begin to surround homes and cover
  streets near the river in the Shiocton area.  This mainly includes
  homes along Island and Mill streets.


For the Wolf River at New London
* The latest stage was 5.5 feet.
* Impacts at 9.0 feet. Flooding affects occur downstream of New
  London. Several inches of flood waters surround sheds and garages
  in low land areas along Wolf River drive in Fremont.  There is
  widespread low land flooding downstream of New London.


For the Little Wolf River at Royalton
* The latest stage was 2.2 feet.
* Impacts at 6.0 feet. Water may be surrounding some homes and
  structures in low lying areas downstream between Royalton and west
  of New London.  .


For the Wisconsin River at Rothschild
* The latest stage was 15.6 feet.
* Impacts at 23.0 feet. Water may be approaching structures adjacent
  to the river.


For the Yellow River at Babcock
* The latest stage was 3.7 feet.
* Impacts at 12.0 feet. Flooding is confined mainly to
  agricultural...wooded low land and marshes.


For the Menominee River near Vulcan
* The latest stage was 6.7 feet.
* Impacts at 12.0 feet. There is lowland flooding along the river.


For the Menominee River near McAllister
* The latest stage was 10.4 feet.
* Impacts at 12.0 feet...which is bankfull stage. There is minor
  flooding of wooded lowland. Flood stage is 15 feet.


For the Oconto River above Oconto
* The latest stage was 6.5 feet.
* Impacts at 9.0 feet. Floodwaters begin to spread into a public
  campground in the city of Oconto.  Water approaches the backyards
  of several homes along the river in Oconto...and there is
  widespread lowland flooding.


For the Upper Wolf River at Langlade
* The latest stage was 8.4 feet.
* Impacts at 11.5 feet. Water approaches the foundation of a small
  hotel next to the river in the town of Langlade. At high flows
  rivers banks become unstable and can erode quickly.  Other affects
  of flooding appear to be confined to wooded land.


Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. The next scheduled
routine statement will be issued tomorrow morning.
