...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of Boone, Ogle and Winnebago counties.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Roads
  and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 357 PM CDT, doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated that heavy rainfall had moved out of the area. Up
    to 3 inches of rain have fallen from earlier storms in a
    corridor from Rockford into northern Boone County.
  - No additional rainfall is expected and flooding is expected
    to recede over the next few hours.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Rockford, Belvidere, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Roscoe,
    South Beloit, Rockton, Poplar Grove, Rockford Airport,
    Candlewick Lake, Cherry Valley, Winnebago, Davis Junction,
    Capron, Timberlane, New Milford and Caledonia.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor
drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in
the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters.
