While there is a chance for isolated thunderstorms over the area

The chances for thunderstorms will continue on Saturday, and some
of these could be strong across central Illinois. Colder air will
then return to the area by late Sunday and this may support a
period of snow and sleet before the precipitation ends.

Strong northeasterly winds, with gusts of 40 to 45 mph are
also expected over northern Illinois and far northwest Indiana on
Saturday. Some wind gusts to 50 mph are possible along the lake
shore.

Large waves over southern Lake Michigan on Saturday could produce
some minor lake shore flooding over portions of northeastern
Illinois.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving to the northeast at 45 MPH.
