...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN LEE AND SOUTHERN
CHAMBERS COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM CDT...

At 338 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Oak Bowery to River View. Movement was east at
15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Opelika, Valley, Cusseta, Beulah, Beans Mill, Huguley, Fairfax, River
View, Sturkie, Oak Bowery, Bleecker, Chambers County Lake, Lanett
Municipal Airport, I 85 Welcome Center At Lanett, and Mount
Jefferson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
