This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Late tonight, scattered thunderstorms with rain, freezing rain
and sleet are expected to develop over the outlook area. A light
glazing of ice and minor accumulations of sleet will be possible
over eastern Iowa, mainly north of Interstate 80.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are in effect
Wednesday for portions of eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois,
mainly north of Interstate 80. A wintry mix of precipitation,
including scattered thunderstorms in the morning, will change to
snow by afternoon. Significant accumulations of snow, sleet and
ice are expected. The precipiation is expected to fall as mainly
rain over northeast Missouri, southeast Iowa and west central
Illinois. More detailed information can be found in the latest
winter weather statements.

Snowmelt and recent rainfall may bring significant rises and
possible minor flooding along portions of the Iowa and Cedar
Rivers later this week into the weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight. Any
reports of ice accumulation or snow accumulations of one inch or
more on Wednesday would be appreciated.
