Sunny skies remained across the region late this morning, and
temperatures responded by rising into the 50s and lower 60s.

Quiet and dry conditions are expected to continue across the
region this afternoon and tonight. High temperatures will warm
into the 60s to lower 70s, except 50s near Lake Michigan. Lows
tonight will drop into the 30s and lower 40s.

The dry conditions will come to an end Tuesday as a low pressure
system heads to the region. Widespread rainfall is expected
to arrive during the late afternoon and evening, then last
through the overnight hours into Wednesday. Heavy rain and some
thunder is possible. Severe weather is not expected, but strong
wind gusts to around 30 to 45 mph will be possible at times.
