The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern Limestone County in north central Alabama...
  East central Lauderdale County in northwestern Alabama...

* Until 945 PM CDT.

* At 848 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Rogersville,
  or 18 miles northeast of Muscle Shoals, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Rogersville, Elkmont, Anderson, Good Springs, Cartwright, Kingtown,
  Whitehead, Cairo, Mt Rozell, and Leggtown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for north central
and northwestern Alabama...and Middle Tennessee.
