Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
224 PM CDT Mon Apr 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Breezy southwest winds with gusts 25 to 30 mph along with relative humidity
levels down to 20 to 30 percent will give elevated fire danger to parts of
central IL this afternoon. Ventilation rates will remain very good through
early evening. Rain showers arrive late tonight and Tuesday as a cold front
moves through the area. Breezy southwest winds continue on Tuesday ahead of
an approaching cold front, but then will become lighter on Wednesday as
high pressure settles into the Great Lakes Region. Fair to poor vent rates
are expected Tuesday and Wednesday.
