.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 222 AM EDT Sun Apr 21 2024

Extensive cloud plume in association with weak upper wave advancing
out of srn WI curtailing a certain frost/freeze across the area this
morning as it holds on tight through daybreak. Chilly low level
thermal trough weakens through the day, offset by strong late April
insolation. However one more potential frost late tonight in
proximity to sfc ridge axis through the lower MS/OH valleys with
decoupling likely late and clear skies. Best chances far northeast
outside a greater influence from emerging warm advection.

Brief moderation follows as warm advection deepens ahead of next
nrn stream wave digging sharply sewd through the lakes late Tue.
Lack of sig return moisture into this sys subdues rain potential but
made up somewhat by strong wave dynamics. Dropped thunder mention
altogether given inadequate looking theta-e ridge poking north into
the srn lakes. Another chilly cold advection wing follows post
frontal Wed-Thu with another bout of frost potential early Thu am.

Thereafter pronounced/deep wrn troughing develops signaling a
welcome pattern change with much warmer and eventually wetter
weather next weekend and beyond.
