At 945 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Devers, or 7 miles southwest of Nome, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Beaumont, Lumberton, Sour Lake, Nome, Bevil Oaks, and China. This includes Interstate 10 in Texas between mile markers 855 and 840. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
