Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 29.9 inch ridge over eastern Lake Superior continues
to slide eastward this morning while a weak 29.7 inch low
currently over central MN moves over western Lake Superior this
afternoon and evening. This feature lifts into Ontario early
Friday, and 29.8 inch high pressure settles over the western
Great Lakes through Friday into Saturday. A deeper 29.4 inch low
low pressure then moves into far northwest Ontario, sending a
29.7 inch trough across Lake Superior Saturday evening. Troughing
weakens and departs into the Hudson Bay Sunday, meanwhile 29.9
inch high pressure builds across the Ohio River Valley into
Monday.
