669 FLUS44 KLUB 010835 HWOLUB Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Lubbock TX 335 AM CDT Wed May 1 2024 TXZ021>044-020845- Parmer-Castro-Swisher-Briscoe-Hall-Childress-Bailey-Lamb-Hale-Floyd- Motley-Cottle-Cochran-Hockley-Lubbock-Crosby-Dickens-King-Yoakum- Terry-Lynn-Garza-Kent-Stonewall- 335 AM CDT Wed May 1 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms should develop along and east of the Interstate 27 corridor late this afternoon, before increasing in coverage this evening as they spread east and off the Caprock. Severe thunderstorms with hail to tennis ball size, winds up to 70 mph and localized flooding are all possible. Elevated fire weather conditions will develop this afternoon in Parmer and Bailey Counties. A Rangeland Fire Danger statement is in effect from 1 PM until 8 PM. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. A few thunderstorms are possible mainly off the Caprock on Friday.
