.SYNOPSIS...
Cooler temperatures, widespread low clouds and periods of gusty
winds will occur this week. Areas of drizzle are likely west of the
mountains Tuesday morning, and there is a chance for light showers
at times from Wednesday night through Friday. Dry weather is
forecast this weekend.

SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

Palm Springs reached 100 degrees today for the first time since
October 21, 2023. It was only five degrees away from the nation`s
high of 105 at Death Valley. It will be the first of many more 100+
high temperatures to come this year at PSP.

Clouds didn`t clear from the coast today and that resulted in the
short thermometer at San Diego Airport with a high of 63 and a low
of 59. At 8 PM, low clouds had already surged into the San Diego
County valleys and Inland Empire, on their way to enveloping the
mountain foothills with clouds and fog tonight. The marine layer
will be deep enough for areas of drizzle west of the mountains.
Farther east the skies will be clear over the mountain and deserts
for an unrestricted view of the nearly full moon tonight.

A 562 dm closed low 600 miles west of Pt Conception this evening
will slowly drift east toward SoCal Tuesday through Thursday. Clouds
from a deep marine layer will be slow to clear each day west of the
mountains which will keep temperature below average. Drizzle or
light rain will also be possible at times. Gusty winds will impact
the mountains and deserts.

On Friday an upstream shortwave in the fast northwest flow will
bring a chance for more showers as it races across Southern
California. Friday will be another cool, breezy day with below
average temperatures from the coast to the desert. Dry northwest
flow filling in behind the trough will bring a dry but breezy day
Saturday, followed by a warmer day with lighter winds Sunday.

.AVIATION...
230325Z...Coast/Valleys...Low clouds with bases around 1200-1500
feet MSL and tops to 3000 feet currently cover coastal areas and
most of inland valleys to the coastal mtn slopes, obscuring higher
terrain. VIS 1-3SM where clouds and terrain intersect. Bases and
tops expected to rise overnight. Expect inland clearing 17Z-19Z with
only partial clearing in the coastal areas. CIG impacts could
persist at coastal TAF sites into Tue afternoon.

Mountains/Deserts...Mostly clear skies with unrestricted VIS through
Tuesday morning.

No hazardous marine conditions are expected through Friday. Stronger
winds and possibly hazardous conditions Friday night.
