FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
415 AM EDT Sun May 27 2018

...Unseasonably warm conditions continue but drier today...

.DISCUSSION: The unseasonably warm temperatures are expected to
persist through the middle of the work week. Temperatures will
soar into mid to upper 80s, perhaps a few spots hitting or
slightly exceeding the 90 degree mark across the interior west
through Wednesday. Closer to the Great Lakes and across the east
half of Upper Michigan temperatures will be slightly cooler. The
very warm conditions and slightly lower dewpoints will favor RHs
falling into the 30s and 40s inland from the Great Lakes each day
this week. RHs will recover nicely into the upper 80s and 90s on
a nightly basis. We`re not looking at any big windy periods, but
with diurnal heating on a daily basis may support wind gust
upwards of 10 to 15 mph at times. Isolated to scattered showers
and thunderstorms are possible at times through the middle of the
week mostly across the west half. By Thursday, precipitation may
become more widespread as a cold front tracking east across the
Upper Great Lakes interacts with the remnants of Tropical Storm
Alberto. By the end of the week into next weekend, the Hudson Bay
High is expected to take over ushering in cooler and dry
conditions.
