This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

Day 1 Discussion

Widespread showers will develop and move across western Kansas today
and tonight. Some lightning strikes will occur, mainly south of the
Arkansas River. Strong north winds will develop behind the cold front
this afternoon, with surface wind speeds of 20 to 30 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Days 2-7 Discussion
-------------------
Frost and freeze potential exists late week, especially early Friday
morning with widespread forecast lows in the 32 to 35 degree range
mainly across far west central Kansas. Fire weather conditions will
deteriorate over the weekend as a much warmer airmass overspreads the
region along with strong south winds.
