...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN RAPIDES...
NORTHEASTERN BEAUREGARD...NORTHWESTERN EVANGELINE...VERNON AND
NORTHEASTERN ALLEN PARISHES...

At 653 PM CDT, strong thunderstormS were located over Fullerton, or
near Pitkin, moving southeast at 10 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Alexandria, Leesville, Rosepine, Glenmora, Elizabeth, Turkey Creek,
Fort Polk, De Ridder, Sugartown, Slagle, Hineston, Pitkin, Deridder,
New Llano, Otis, Elmer, Sieper, Lacamp, Fullerton and Leander.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
