...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT MONDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 5
inches except between 6 and 20 inches above 7500 feet. Winds
gusting as high as 60 mph.
* WHERE...Northern and Southern Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM MDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Some roads
may be closed. Significant travel delays are possible. Strong
winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing snow will significantly
reduce visibility across high mountain roads and passes, creating
dangerous travel conditions.

MONDAY...
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 9
inches. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph over Raton Pass and
adjacent mesa tops.
* WHERE...East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Johnson and
Bartlett Mesas Including Raton Pass.
* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 6 PM MDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be
reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle
in front of you. This includes along portions of I-25 at Raton
Pass. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power
lines.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Blowing snow along and east of the Raton Pass
could result in low visibility.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be

in front of you. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday
morning and evening commutes.

Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
* WHERE...Jemez Mountains, Tusas Mountains Including Chama, Chuska
Mountains, and West Central Mountains.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be
reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle
in front of you. This includes along portions of I-40. Gusty winds
could bring down tree branches.
